The powerful corporate grip on our government means that even compelling, life-saving measures will be watered down and delayed for the profit and convenience of companies with threatened interests. Mine safety is another great example of citizens dying so companies can keep their costs down. I remember learning a song in grade school, "Drill Ye Tarriers Drill," in which a miner is caught in a huge explosion. Then he's told: "You were docked for the time you were up in the sky." As usual, Michael Moore is right on time with his new film about capitalism. The corruption is wired into the system through campaign contributions that allow special interests to buy Congress. Until we change that (and I think it will take an amendment to the Constitution) America will not be a true democracy. Some great points here Mr Brown!
