FrankXray Studio 2008 Show Reel – [TRT approx. 3 minutes] Here is my latest reel of motion graphics. There is a brief montage of practical elements also. It will give you an idea of my animation styles. When I get around to cutting a new reel, I’ll make a special post about it. Stay tuned.
Sincerely, Ted L. Nancy – [TRT approx. 30 seconds] This is a main title I did for a TV show pitch. The music is a scratch track provided by the client. Sincerely, Ted L. Nancy is based on the Letters from a Nut series of books. The author writes letters to various companies as the Ted L. Nancy character. He asks, for example, of a motel operator, if he may bring his own ice machine with him into his room. Their replies and his subsequent follow-up letters are hilarious. For the animation, I drew the characters with pencil and tracing paper, scanned them into my computer, cleaned them up in Illustrator, and animated the layers in After Effects.
